The first informal meeting of Anuyatra took place on 28 October 2023, chaired by Sri T.K.A. Nair.
The group decided to formalise its charitable work under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955.

Obtained provisional registration under Section 12A of the Income Tax Act, 1961 with Unique Registration Number AAUAA1974AE20251 dated 25/12/2025
Secured provisional exemption under Section 80G of the IT Act with Unique Registration Number AAUAA1974AF20251 dated 25/12/2025
Anuyatra functions under a transparent and participative structure comprising:
