About us -a purpose statement

Formed by former senior civil servants from the All India and Central Civil Services who either hail from Kerala or have served the state, Anuyatra represents the enduring spirit of public service that transcends official roles and retirement. What started as a simple digital reunion through the Kerala Retired Officers’ Group on WhatsApp transformed into a powerful idea — that experience and expertise must continue to serve society and that leadership must continue to care.

From this shared vision was born Anuyatra, the humanitarian expression of a lifetime of public service. Driven by a simple but profound belief that those who have had the privilege to serve society in positions of authority also carry a lifelong moral duty to stand with the vulnerable, the distressed, and the underprivileged. Every member of Anuyatra brings not just their expertise and experience, but also more importantly their empathy, moral conviction and commitment. Together, they represent a rare reservoir of wisdom, integrity, and administrative insight bound together by the silken thread of compassion- channelled towards the wellbeing of all, specially the downtrodden.

Anuyatra is a statement- service never retires, it is a lifelong commitment. Anuyatra works quietly yet relentlessly, influencing change, responding to human suffering, and demonstrating that the true measure of public service lies not in the offices once held, but in the lives still touched. Anuyatra is not merely about charity, it is about moral commitment, It is about continuing the journey of service.

Anuyatra is about walking together so that others may walk with dignity. Anuyatra unites former public servants to turn experience into impact, compassion into action, and collective goodwill into purposeful change for the betterment of the unheard, the unseen and the forgotten.

Service was once our responsibility. Today it is our legacy. We work with government, local bodies and civil society organisations for the good of the people. We invite civil society, volunteers, philanthropists, students and all those who care for humanity to come forward and join us and work with us to achieve our noble social objectives.
